Portugal : Bosnia and Herzegovina 1:0
As I predicted Bosnian team was better. I cannot say what would happen if Ronaldo played but he did not. And my dear Portuguese you are going to need the best of the best to come out of this story victorious. I believe the only real opportunity for the Portugal offered a goal. On the other side Bosnia played beautiful football. They were not defending for a minute and had their chances but lacked a little bit of fortune. I think this will change and we can expect progress for Bosnia. This may happen in extra time following 1:0 result but they will succeed.
Republic Ireland: France 0:1
Must say that I haven’t watched the whole game but from highlights I must conclude that France’s performance was pore to say the least. Although they played away they should do better. Because I like underdogs more I hope Ireland wins and sobers up big nations.
Greece : Ukraine 0:0
Everybody who favored Greece before the first game is now absolutely quiet. Ukraine should not have any problem winning at home and send Greek home crying. The glory days of Greek football are over.
Russia: Slovenia 2:1
I have the privilege to watch the game with about 100 Russian fans in Egypt during my holiday. My say I was very quiet for the first 70 minutes of the game, but when Pecnik entered everything changed. At the end I quickly disappeared from the TV room because some were getting quite annoyed by mby shouting and cheering. I believe that Slovenia made a big step towards winning and qualifying but lets not be hasty. Russian individuals are truly world class and Arsavin is the least of our problem. But if he start to play as he used to then I am afraid we do not stand a chance. I hope for a 1:0 win for Slovenia but am terrible afraid of 1:1 draw.
